Preparation for videos

You’ve heard it said, a good painter is an excellent sander. The same principle applies here: great videos lead to excellent cut and sew results. The Boatsew app guides you to take clear, detailed 2 minute videos of each individual cushion. That means one video per cushion, no matter how connected they might look. Sometimes what appears to be one large cushion is actually made up of several smaller ones. Captain’s chairs are especially tricky for this. Misidentifying cushions will cause processing issues and may result in your submission being rejected.

Record cushions

While the app will guide you through what you need to do to complete the process. Making a good video is the heart of the process. Your camera has to have all image stabilizing or enhancements must be turned off. Walk slowly around the cushion. In the same video make about 3 full passes around the cushion at around 3 different heights. Try to fill the full view of the camera with the cushion. Don't forget the scale cross!
